I think it's an enormous problem with music, newspapers, books etc. I think people should be paid for their intellectual properties. Although I agree that many of the distributors got greedy, the actual artists were never raking in the cash and now there's even less of a chance to make a living doing this type of work. I'm hoping that there will be some fair accountability for intellectual property.
shareI think they should make reasonable copyright laws. Right now it completely stifles creativity and results in things like your grandchildren getting royalties long after you are dead because copyright is death+95 years. The balance between protecting small authors (which is what copyright was created for by the way) and cultural spread is completely fucked now, mostly thanks to Disney ruining it for everyone trying to keep on the copyright to mickey mouse that has long since entered the public culture and should have been in public domain.
The artists have never in history of the world has had it so good as they do now.
