Did Aaron Swartz have a bigger impact in death?

A video clip from the Internet's Own Boy Q&A at Hot Docs brings it up -- any thoughts?

Sadly I believe you are 100% accurate

Unfortunately I think you might be right... And even though I'm not in anyway religious I can't help but draw parallels with Jesus. Would his message have been as powerful if he wasn't put to the cross by the establishment? I think aaron was way way way ahead of his time and his work will echo through the ages.

I think he would have been much more influential in his life. In the short time he lived, he already accomplished more than most of us in our entire life, and he was just getting started. Most of us don't even start having influence on our surroundings before we are 26. That's the age he died at.

His political aspirations were something that could have changed something in Amerika in the long run, but it was ultimately his demise. Maybe he was too idealistic for the world. That is the saddest thing about all of it, that those people who can change it for the best, don't survive.
