Did Not Enjoy This Film

Hey folks,

I actually disliked this film more and more as it progressed. The story did have a beginning, middle, and end, but it seemed like everyone got stuck in quicksand at the beginning and that where they stayed until the end when suddenly everyone changed the basic nature of their characters and became wonderful people. I have always like stories with "happy" endings, but this was just dumb.

The characters were stereotypical caricatures so exaggerated it would make Agatha Christie characters embarrassed. Near the end of the film, the daughter sings a song in church that is simply beyond description. Perhaps it would be better described as screaming the song rather than singing. Actually, it seems like most of the characters were simply plucked out of a ghetto story setting and simply dropped into a new middle class church family; same problems, different setting.

Best wishes,
Dave Wile
