The cinematography in this film looks gorgeous

I love films about solitude. One could really make an effective film using just one really gifted actor to portray and convey a sense of longing and loneliness.

Fargo is a fantastic film which spawned this fantastic, but sad real life inspiration and now it has its own movie that could co-exist with Fargo in someone's movie collection.

I'm going to enjoy this one.

How can you already say you'll enjoy it based on the trailer? I understand liking or disliking the story. But for example, I do not think the trailer make it appear like an interesting film. The visuals look nice. But they're nothing special. It is the old method of inserting red color where the background is white and black. This color combination appears in a lot of art and film.

Because its getting great reviews and it looks more original than 60% of the hollywood crap coming out today. And especially well shot movies with great cinematography are getting rarer and rarer

It is absolutely visual, & audio, tour de force.

A brilliant direct overhead shot of Kumiko in a snow field really stood out for me.

just watched it and have to say the cinematography and main actress are the only good things about it
