I cannot believe the high rating and all the favorable comments here. I was completely done with this film towards the end, at the school dance. They say a great ending can make an otherwise average film great. Wow them in the end. The same can be said for a crappy ending. It can kill a movie.

I can completely relate to the characters and themes and yet this movie is still only slightly above average imo. I love when filmmakers tackle this type of subject matter in a non C-Movie fashion though. 6.5/10
People are definitely frauding with the ratings.
People hate what's popular and people jump on bandwagons. The rest of us are in the middle. Done.
The rating here of 7.2 was misleading. I expected a solid African-American/gangster / basketball movie but it was very average. This movie has a little bit of everything but doesn't excel in any aspect. 5/10
