Show is genius, where is everyone?

I've checked back here from time to time, surprised to find so few fans. 3 winner episodes so far and Dell alone would keep me coming back for more!

I've been checking this board every other day to see new comments. I've mentioned this show to so many people already as I'm sure others have done too. I'm sure this board will blow up torwards the end of the first season

Same here. Comedy Central has very little new content, so I'm guessing people are passing it by for the most part.

I think even IMDB is a little asleep on this one. I checked Michael Madsen's page to see if that him playing the PI, because I didn't see his name here or even a character with anything related to a PI.

I'm really surprised too, at the lack of traffic here. Maybe they are all posting at Reddit or the Comedy Central site? Because this is a very funny show, no doubt.

This is on an A+ level of comedy along with Always Sunny, Bob's Burgers, and maybe one or two other shows. The direction and production quality is top notch (Man Seeking Woman also had big screen level production quality), and the main characters and their actors are all great along with the guests. Any scene with Dell is comedy gold, and Michael Madsen's character's Dell hunt has me cracking up thinking about it. All the guest stars so far have been amazing as well. The pacing and punctuation on the comedy is absolutely perfect the way it's directed, edited, and acted. I tell everyone I know to watch it.

reply

Glad you mentioned the editing. I really noticed it's standout. Also, I took a screen shot of Dell walking away from his drug buy!

I'm thinking that Comedy Central just hasn't advertised it enough. They advertised the heck out of Amy Schumer's show and this is a hell of a lot funnier.

reply

Agree on bad advertising. I remember they advertise the crap out of Kroll Show ending and that was PURE GARBAGE for 3 seasons. I didn't even know about Big Time. A friend recommened I watch the first episode when it was already like on epsidoe 5. I watched it and fell in love. Then I talked to my friend about it and he never watched past that first episode himself!

It I hope it does get a 2nd season... wasn't Broad City in the same situation? Virtually ZERO advertising in all their seasons. But then again those girls seem like they put in a lot more effort to make their show a hit.

The fact that you included Bob's Burgers in your list of A+ level content makes me question my decision to start watching this show On Demand.

reply

The fact that you don't include Bob's Burger as A+ level material makes me question...wait, I'm not 12 years old and realize that people like different things.

reply

Good one...

reply

I know. That's why I said it.

I love the shows you mention, yet I didn't really like the first episode of this.

I would diagnose the problem as being that the main two characters have absolutely no redeeming qualities to make me care about them or want them to succeed on any level.

reply

Hopefully this series is able to find an audience as it goes along. Personally, I think it is great so far. It deserves a larger following. Also, hopefully Comedy Central gives it a chance to grow.

Just watched the first episode. Too funny! Love EVERYTHING about the show so far! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

So add another one to the fans list.

First episode was great, but each episode gets better and better as the plot thickens😎😱

reply

Agreed! Show has gotta be in the top 5 best tv shows, along with Seinfeld, curb, TPB & East Bound & Down.

Oh, and by the way, they're real and they're spectacular!

Yep, nice to see another oasis in the laugh-track wasteland.

Both Sunny and Community are drying up, so this came in the nick of time.

Silicon Valley, Louie, Last man on earth, and Children's Hospital, are pretty solid too, so far.
