Action, fantasy AND horror?

Now this I have to see...

Horror? Are you referring to Psycho Chimp? His arm movements were a little creepy at first, but after that he was just comical.

But I have to say I can't remember the last time I enjoyed watching someone get pummelled as much as him in his fight with the Numero Uno Vagina. He just kept hitting him in the face and he was running away like the mental ape he was. Glorious and hilarious at the same time.

Almost as funny as the hunchback dude from Oldboy yelling out "Woosah" during the final fight to motivate the Vagine. Made me think of Bad Boys 2, which was awesome.

I actually respect what this movie tried to do with Chinese philosophy and production values were quite high. But there were too many pointless cameo's and the poor acting made it hard for me to take seriously. That I watched the dubbed version didn't help in this regard.

I have no idea what part in this movie that is considered horror since I haven't seen it...yet.

OK, now I've watched it and NO HORROR TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE! The chimp was just lame, calling that horror would be like calling Return of the Jedi horror because of Rancor - you just don't do that.

And fantasy? Not really in any way either. The genre-tagging here is just beyond dumb.

reply

I agree that this is definitely not a horror film at all.

Well, the bad directing did gave me a good scare....
