Let's not forget Courtney's first husband and what he says she did.

James Moreland, Courtney's first husband who was also a singer (The Leaving Train) had this to say about her:

"She definitely has an evil side. She once tried to burn my bed when I was sleeping. A fire started and I woke up in shock. It’s impossible to figure out Courtney’s motives. Her disdain was powerful, and she came off as a spoiled little snot… Courtney is a violent person who, even in the midst of our anonymous, crummy, poverty-stricken little marriage, threatened to have me beaten up for two hundred dollars when I didn’t do what she wanted. I was so scared of her I caved in immediately."

Trying to burn her husband. Murderous wife: check.

Paying someone to cause her husband bodily harm: check.

This is, sadly, the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Courtney's personality-disordered behavior.

I believe she had Kurt killed.

This is a fact I wish they had included in the film since it alluded to prior threats of solicitation to do bodily harm. Courtney is a psycho who is willing to do anything to get what she wants. This much is clear.

A history of violence, both premeditated and intermittently explosive. A dangerous woman.

"...solicitation to do bodily harm. "

Exactly!

Wow! I never knew Courtney Love had been married before. If the story that her 1st husband says is true.
.. it seals what I think about her. She is a murdering, lying sociopath. I have tried to see everyone's side on Kurt's death. Meaning if Courtney had no role on his death wothout a doubt I would feel deep sorrow and sympathy for her loss. But I have never quite believed her to be guilt free. hearing this and actual audio of her speaking with Detective Grant and obviously LYING about different things and he called her on everything. I tried to be open minded and unbiased but in reality Courtney Love has made it difficult to belive a word she says. Like iI said, IF her 1st husband's story is true this is the icing on the cake for me. This is only my opinion. I'm not stating anything as fact.

Courtneys own father says she's a sociopath. You should watch other documentaries on Kurt and Courtney. One early one has a short interview with her first husband. He shares more than what was posted in the OP.

reply

i think her own father had terrible things to say about her in a previous documentary.

I just saw "Kurt and Courtney" and he is no holds barred. Or is her ex-boyfriend Ross- something who had notes she wrote like :
"Become friends with Michael Stipe" and "Tour with REM or ....." Strange notes, but as Ross said she did it! Gotta hand it to her, as he said. Then he learned she blasted him publically THAT day and he ripped into her. Watch Kurt and Courtney. At least for the interviews of those that knew her. Good insight into her psyche.

That interview with Ross was damning. The pattern of her getting next to someone on the rise and then taking over their lives and destroying them is sociopathic in its coldness.

Sad that Ross gave up music, he obviously was very talented.

I think Courtney paid someone to kill Kurt. I believe she didn't do it herself.

reply

It's basically the same thing. Conspiracy to commit murder is punished the same as murder.

reply

I can believe him, although it can't really be proven. I'm assuming the reason it wasn't in the movie is because it couldn't be corroborated. But Love has a track record of aberrant behavior. Drug use can also exacerbate these tendencies.

reply

Yeah, she's definitely nuts and does not handle rejection well. Look at how much venom she threw at her daughter for not being at her wedding.

reply

What did she do? I missed that.
