Saw it on Netflix
Interesting movie I must say but I have to agree with the comments i have seen posted here. The men make poor excuses like there is nobody in their town for them to date so the only logical explanation would be to find a bride overseas who fits their expectations of what they want. No so simple though as we see the "romance tour" was clearly staged at the beginning and was purely smoke and mirrors where women were hired to attend and fake an interest in these guys. The one man Bobby(video game guy) was extremely delusional in thinking he was going to actually find the women he was talking to online and whisk her away back to America. I mean, he even says they are engaged after he finally meets her for 5 minutes!? And the meeting only took place because the company needed to cover it's ass to prove they were not swindling this man out of his money (which they were). These guys were so desperate they could not just think rationally at all. The Foreign Affair website was a clear hoax in every way, $10 an email is ridiculous. Most people would know about 2 seconds into to seeing the page that all the pics of these models on the website were false and that these guys were corresponding with probably some random person on a computer. After watching this I really don't know what makes me more angry- the scam of a company that made piles of money catering to these delusional and naive guys or the men themselves who wasted their hard earned money hoping that they could buy a women overseas who would be nothing more than eye candy for them who they can show off om their arm. Just like the guy Eric did after he married one of the women he met- how awkward did they look walking around the supermarket together? it is clear that she is using the poor guy to get a green card and child support after having a child and divorcing him. This does not look like a marriage that will last.
