Have these men not heard of...

Have these men not ever heard of WhatsApp, Viber or Skype? I mean that one obese man writing "Angelina Jolie" for months paying $10 to send and receive a message.... Did it never occur to him to maybe use that money to learn Russian and help her with English so they can speak through a Phone app and not have to pay so much money to speak with each other.

There are so many language programs out there, lots you can find for free through Torrents and in a few months be able to communicate basic things; and I am sure he'd be able to help her learn English and there are also apps to improve someone's English.

Many of these men seemed so naive to say the least. Svetlana never expressed any emotion and seemed repulsed when that Aussie guy tried to kiss her. The Southern man from North Carolina was so arrogant; he thought just because he has his dyed blond hair and old man abs, he was God's gift to Ukraine. He dressed like a Frat boy except 35+ years older.

The simple farmer from Wisconsin I felt bad for; he seemed like he was really happy but just never saw the signs we was fixin to get scammed for money.

About those "Socials". Many of the men except for maybe the old Frat boy seemed like total introverts; I don't think some dark room with loud music, flashing lights and people dancing is the best way for them to meet a woman to marry.

In conclusion, it seemed like all of these men basically joined this website on a whim without even bothering to learn Russian/Ukranian or studying the history and culture of Eastern Europe. If they even tried to learn the langauge I am sure the women would appreciate it a lot.

P.S. The obese man who got gipped by his Angelina Jolie, he should have had a backup plan; not just have gone to Ukraine for one woman he barely knew anything about.

Most foreign women, especially in Europe and countries like Malaysia and the Philippines, have some degree of facility with english because, face it, everyone wants to come here to the US where they can make a lot of money for doing the same work they slave over in their own countries and make peanuts. Americans are so spoiled and used to getting what they want, never think to change themselves for a new experience. For instance, in many foreign countries, english is a required language in high schools. German kids can't graduate high school unless they have a basic familiarity with english language. It's one of the languages of business. But in the US, no second language is required in school. It's all elective. Not even spanish, which is an unofficial second language here, is actually required to be learned or spoken.

Im also thinking this movie was filmed years before things like WhatApp and Viber were popular. Probably just eventually getting a release in 2014 but filmed years before.

Umm, because on those sites they don't let you give out personal information...because they want you to continue paying to correspond through the site. Its like any other dating site in america. You want to give them your email adress or phone number ? Try it, it probably won't make it through the algorythm and will be blocked in the message. Unless you can come up with a creative way to get it through. The letters are also translated from russian or whatever into English so the translator can also maybe choose not to translate that part for the sake of the business making money.

So...uh, good idea, but thats not how it works. Also...even if he got her whatsup, why would a good looking girl like that waste her time talking to that guy ? Not gonna happen unless he was rich..and he wasn't. I just feel bad for that guy. Mainly, if you are using those sites, if you actually want to marry, you have to go over there and meet them in person, you can't get their personal information, because then the site would not make any money.
