OH yes...not sure if the actress playing Miranda had a "butt" double, but WOW! Now THAT'S an a$$ worth slappin' around a few times!!!! Very nice.
But the movie was good too...a little slow (I guess given the title, it should be expected), and the ending left me a little...unfulfilled, but really, given the characters' situations, there was no other way to end it. Good flick!

Just saw it. Worth staying up till the wee hours.
I liked how Miranda's character slowly unfolds. Though it's still a stretch that she would bed Sebastian, given her loneliness and impulsive behavior (affairs, smoking, drinking), it's not unreasonable, and it gave a much-anticipated "climax."
I also liked Miranda's looks. Very mestiza. Not your classic beauty, but quite appealing.
On a side note, in 1976, while studying in Mexico City, I went with a group of friends to Tecolutla for a little study break. All I remember was intense humidity, sand fleas, and that brown/grey ocean water. Doesn't look like the place has changed a bit.
