The Girlfriend's attitude flips more than a burger on a grill

I haven't finished the movie but as of now she is working my last nerve. I know he's swimming with sharks in Vegas or whatever but she seemed pissed the minute he thought about letting the guy make a bet on him. What's the big deal? She acts like he is going to Hell for gambling when all he is really doing is getting paid to do what he does well.

He has a mother and sister to support and his father is a scumbag. He's kind of desperate. Doesn't she get that? I'm not saying he should take off with Mr. Fishy, but her whole attitude is so unhelpful. She's just sanctimonious and judgy.
