Just not that funny.

Rarely did I laugh at this movie. I feel like the show is becoming less funny with each effort they put out. Not really looking forward to Season 8 unless it's on par with the first few seasons. Don't get me wrong, I like the show, but most of the jokes felt forced or just plain lame.

I laughed a few times, but overall it wasn't that great. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't really good, either. It also didn't really feel like a movie. It felt more like just a long episode of the TV show, though they did road trip, but still. Everyone looks old and fat, too. I wish they had just let it go, but they don't seem to be able to. I'm still going to watch Season 8, but I'm not expecting much.

I felt the same way. There was something off about it. Maybe they're just a little rusty. Even the time of year seemed different. I would have loved to see more of Ray also. The road trip was just too much of a gamble though because the magic is in the park. It felt really drawn out and I had to keep checking the time because it was so slow. It lacked action and was a lot less physical than the other films. But it's not bad, it was interesting, and had funny moments. I was just missing something. But atleast J-rock's character was less annoying than the last film, although I really wish he'd bring his "err nahm sssssayiinnnggg". I mean that was pure gold!

If I were to make the film better I'd have Ray maybe show up (if not sooner) in that strip club playing VLT's, I'd have George Green and Ted helping them do crime or get in a fight at the mall (huge mistake putting them in prison so there goes the cops) have more of Lahey running around like a drunken fool in his underwear, and atleast one good shootout. Seriously why was there no car chases and shootouts? That whole Cyrus thing at the end was weird. Also I'd pay whatever I could to bring Trevor and Corey back.

But with all that said, it's awesome seeing them back, a gift really. I bet the t.v. show will be right on par with the other seasons. The films are never really that close to the series anyway. Countdown to Liquor day is still the best film and it's not even as entertaining as "say goodnight to the bad guys" (which was a special but also the greatest thing ever).

5hit, boys, it pains me to admit I didn't find it too funny either.

Mike Clattenburg had negotiated to leave and sell control of his creation to Ricky, Julian & Bubs even before this movie was finished -- so maybe some sort of long-festering 5hitwinds between him & the stars caused tension on the set & tainted the final product. Barrie Dunn (Ray/exec producer) also unloaded his interest and left Team TPB at the same time, and Ray's lack of even ONE friggin scene with any of the other actors in this one suggests a shltload of animosity there, too.

I'm just guessing. Whatever the cause, the characters now display genuine malice and hatred toward each other -- with none of the all-coming-together-in-the-end-as-family stuff that used to make Lahey's constant scheming against Ricky & Julian somehow heartwarming. This time out, the factions aren't just fooling with 5hitipillars and hitches in jail, they really truly mean to hurt and destroy each other.

I mean, even at his PROPANE PROPANE craziest, I couldn't picture Lahey deliberately ruining Ray's funeral. Nor procuring cocaine to plant on anybody, let alone Julian. And Bubbles suckerpunching an elderly stroke victim and beating him to the ground? WTFFFF!?!

Without Clattenburg's subtle direction, sly comedic judgment, and twisted sense of decency, no way the new online series will have the same sensibilities & tone as the original show. Who knows, maybe the Boys will flourish without him & reach new heights in Season 8 ... but we should probably prepare for The New TPB to suffer the same shortages of focus & warmth that made DAODHFH as hard to love as a 5hitpuppy.

While I can agree that 'it wasn't that funny' it was still entertaining, fun to watch, & did have several lol moments.

I think the charm of the show during its heyday was the main characters as underdogs.

Ever since seasons 6 & 7 which had the boys win out at the end with very satisfying payoffs, the show & movies have felt a bit unnecessary.
Case in point- the next special/movie after S7 has Julian lose all their cash right away & land them screwed again. That's lazy writing imo.

Part of being the underdog is the characters take more chances, more frequently, & chaos ensues.
Having these mapped out capers makes it all seem too rigid & doesn't allow the comedy to flow.

JRoc might've been the funniest character in this 3rd movie & he really had nothing to do with anything but mug for some camera time.

This movie might've been better had the boys been on the clock to race the piss to Montreal, Lahey been on parole for DUI while he's tearing around Quebec with Randy doing coke in the car & downing hidden drinks. They also needed secondary characters like Jacob to have more impact rather than playing straight guy on the side.
I dunno... plan the story, write it, then let it fly off the rails & do a re-write lols.

I agree. I thought it was completely boring, just filling in time, nothing at all clever. I think that people who like it and gave it reasonable ratings are just doing it for the sake of nostalgia. Any effort at all put into writing this would have really helped. I've been watching these things just out of habit, but I think it's time to stop. If all the old fans did that, the ratings would be down to 4/10 in no time.

This was their best movie, you clearly have no sense of humour. Very fresh jokes. You dick clamp.
