kind of depressing

great to see the boys again but everybody looked so old and weathered. Julian probably looked the worse. Then you have lahey using a cane and Phil collins in a wheelchair (rip). Kind of felt like trailer park boys the twilight years. Nice to see the boys again, though. Overall the movie was pretty hit and miss

my two cents

I thought Ricky was at the top of his game. I don't know that Rob Wells has ever played him better. Some really funny and new 'Rickyisms' and the plot line of legalization was brilliant, in my opinion. I think I actually enjoyed this movie more than The Big Dirty.

Yes, some of the cast is certainly showing signs of age, but hey... When TPB started out (pilot) little Trinity was bumming smokes from Julian at age 6, and she is now a grown woman.... so time has passed for all of us! I think it's great they can still pull together the magic that makes TPB so special.

Is it as great as it used to be? No, but is anything ever as great as it used to be? In the words of the Great Philosopher, Ray... Effin way she goes!

A minor concern is they could've/should've introduced newer younger blood to run with the cast.

That opening reunion in the dump was borderline sad lols...

Some look older, some look about the same. Ricky looks pretty much the same. I didn't get why Julian and Randy had different hair styles though. Im a TPB conservative - just keep them looking the same i say. :)

Agreed, everyone looked old and weathered with the exceptions of Lahey and Bubbles--Lahey always looks to be about 60 and Bubbles about 35. Everyone else looked completely fvcked.

The fact that the whole thing was shot in late winter and color-corrected to appear darker made it all seem a bit too funereal. I did like the fact that they finally got rid of Ray, since his character was always a useless distraction and Barrie Dunn came off like a self-important tool in every interview I've ever seen with him.

This film felt like everyone involved knew that it would probably be their last big chance to get together and make some of the old magic happen. Hopefully Season 8 on Netflix isn't terrible.
