While this series seems like the Cliff Notes for WWII, the 5th episode was a shock. The first four episodes were new production, however the fifth episode was the old "Secret Life of Hitler", a TV documentary made in 1958! Very odd.

Episode 5 is actually a 1958 made-for-TV documentary "The Secret Life of Adolf Hitler," tacked onto the four more recently-produced episodes. As such, it was an incredibly cheap and easy way to expand the episode count. We can only speculate as to why the 2011 producers wanted to do this....
Episodes 1-4, BTW, seem to me like some non-English-language production that was repackaged with a badly-translated English narration dubbed-in. So episode 5 isn't really unique in being some other producer's work, recycled.
