Confused about the Ending?

Everything was great up until the Ending. So my take is the Main girl character and Amy planned to leave that night after drinking the Spiked drink right? But we later found out the main character faked drinking it while Micheal actually drank it. Amy also faked the drink.

My theory was the little girl Amy never intended to leave the cult. She was givin a final mission from Micheal to fake it, help out the main char, leave the place, and then Execute the plan. Then kill herself.

OR

Was it the little girl Amy Planned it all along? Maybe she was the mastermind behind the whole thing.

Yeah the ending was a little odd, I didn't really get what the Main girl died from since she spit out the poison... maybe she didn't spit out enough and the little she swallowed was enough to kill her? Or Amy killed her?

ALSO I thought it was a little bizarre that it ended with the camera shaking like it was an earthquake happening probably then the beginning of the apocalypse meaning that Michael was right all along

Was the director then implying that Michael was right for manipulating all the women including the kids into sleeping with him?

For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.
