What are the chances of this being cancelled?

Considering the stick Cartoon Network has up their ass nowadays, the only way this show will have a 100% guarantee of surviving is if it solely focuses on dumbed-down humor for the channel's target audience of three and under. From the trailer, it looks like it could have its more serious moments, and CN makes it clear they hate that.

I don't understand how you can attempt to be condescending to a children's network. Kids are the primary target audience for animation in the West.

I think CN will give the show a chance and know exactly what the tone and setting will be. Which is why they've green lit it.

reply

That's more like Disney Channels target audience. Cartoon Network has been extremely daring in their cartoons recently and done stuff other networks would never get away with (*cough* Adventure Time, *cough* Regular Show). Heck, they even have PG ratings on these two, which makes it possible to make even darker cartoons.

So I don't really see how this is a problem, unless this is running on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel.

reply

I just watched the first episode, and after watching this, I believe it has at least a 86% chance of surviving.

This 7:00AM Saturday timeslot says different.

"DO NOT WRECK THIS GIGANTIC DOOM."

I don't know what are the chances but so far, it's probably a little too silly for anyone over the age of 16 now. But remember, this show is aimed at kids, so it probably wouldn't get canceled for a while.

I can't take crap off of bad people

reply

I wasn't expecting it to be so 'kiddie'. I thought it was going to be a 1/2 action show, with character development. I'm so out, now

reply

The premiere episode(s) did well in the ratings. But actually, ratings doesn't necessarily matter for a CN show.

reply

That's because kids were watching it.
