Actually, Einstein did appear (briefly). As I recall, The visit to him facilitated the release of Frank from the prison, back to The Hill (as a private).

reply

They called at his house in Princeton, but did we actually see him played by an actor?

reply

I think so. We actually saw the white head of hair (briefly)as he sat at his desk. Of course I could be mistaken...it was several episodes back.

reply

Looking at the list of characters in the imdb data base, I don't see an Einstein.

reply

Einstein did appear, but it was just the back of his head, and just for a moment. It was enough to recognize that it was supposed to be Albert Einstein and nothing more. I think it was when Liza Winters went to see him about finding Frank.

reply

Shades of Steinbrenner.

reply

At the end of The Threshold (episode 3 of season 2), Einstein appears at the very end and even faces the camera for a second. No actor is credited though for the role.

reply

Heisenberg was in it, want he? Didn't we see him when the American spy (can't think of his code name right now) in the German bomb group was discovered?

reply

They talked about Vannevar Bush coming but I don't think they showed him. Maybe it was the death of President Roosevelt death that prevented him coming. Frank was planning on crashing the meeting with him.

Vannevar was not related to the political Bushes. He was smarter than all of them combined. He pushed and kicked butt to get the atomic bomb done and was at the Trinity test at Alamogordo with Oppenheimer.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

Bush did make it to the Hill. Darrow had tried to keep Frank out of the way by assigning him to tickle the dragon's tail, but he got exposed to so much radiation they had to bring him back.

Frank was about to talk to Bush when Darrow got word of FDR's death and ceremoniously put the flag at half staff.

reply

The spy's code name was "Magpie." I think someone may have walked past Heisenberg and greeted him by name.

reply

Correct... Magpie...

reply

Magpie.

Enrico Fermi was mentioned in at least one episode. And, of course, Hitler ;)

reply

He may have been mentioned, but I don't think we saw him played by an actor.

He was actually present at the Trinity test.

reply

No Feynman? That's terrible.
