WGN has only themselves to blame.

They say they were sad it didn't get a wider audience.

And whose fault was that?

HULU only has season 1. I kept waiting for season 2 but it never showed.

They have their internet locked up so that if you don't have cable, you can't see it anywhere.

Well, I cut my cable and have HULU and amazon prime.

So if WGN was disappointed Manhattan didn't have a wider audience it is because they choked off access to see it to only those that subscribe to cable that carries WGN. That's short sighted.

Now that it's over you can't see season two anywhere unless you buy the show. Sorry but don't care about it that much.

Well it's the same thing with every WGN show and there ratings were much better than this show's. TNT and USA shows are the same way but they have no problem with ratings. Plus most networks have their internet locked up so you can't see it if you don't have cable, and according to what I heard this is a deal cable and satellite providers have with a lot of networks. Plus this show had a VERY low overall average so low in fact that it was called the lowest rated show in a long time with an overall average of only 0.03.

I agree. I came here today because I've been waiting for season 2 on hulu and was wondering if had aired yet... only to find out it aired almost a year ago and has been cancelled.

You happen to know if season 2 is worth watching? Does it actually have an end? I want to watch it but now that I know it's cancelled not sure if I want to invest any more time in it.

Season 2 is definitely worth watching. The new colonel is even more sinister than the first one. Occam is weirder than ever, the Brits go bonkers, and we find out who the spy is.

Not to give away the ending, but Season 2 goes out with a bang.

S2 is definitely worth watching and is now available on Hulu! Just became available a few days ago - just finished binging it. It ends satisfactory, but for me, I would have liked an S3 just to see where the characters ended up moving forward.

I didn't even hear about this show until after it was cancelled. There was way too little advertising. If I had known this show existed, I would have watched it when it aired. You're right, the access and exposure really sealed the fate of the show. If WGN was smart, they'd have Hulu pick it up. If they tried to release a season 3 there (after adding season 2) it would have a much wider audience.

you may well be right about limited audiences due to availability.

there's another issue tho.

The inane politics and personalities in the series didn't help. the writers made this series into a soap. they had a fascinating subject and plenty of scope for drama and they made it into home and away or neighbours.

so you put the two issues together and you get a cancelleded program.

S2 is finally on Hulu!! I binged it this weekend. S2 is definitely worth watching IMO. Although it S2 ends somewhat satisfactory, it would have been nice to have an S3 tying up all loose ends, to see where the different characters ended up and especially Crosley's storyline - that's the one I'm most disappointed in because it was just starting to get good and now we won't see the results of it.
