Just started series, contestants unbalanced

The intro to season 1 says "10 of the most talented body painters from across the country" but in the next couple episodes some of them are talking about how they've never used an airbrush, etc.
There's a clear top 3 in this group, I just wish the show was all contestants at the same skill level :/ Or at least all artists who do body painting for their main job.
Will keep watching tho maybe it gets better. The camouflage episode was awesome!!
