Do Atheists ever make fun of....

Jews?

Or do they only do it to Christians?

Seems to me it's pretty one sided.

reply

what happens when a jew walks into a wall with an erection?

he breaks his nose.

happy?

reply

I'm making fun of no one who believes.. It's just not a thing for me.

reply

We don't make fun of people individually however what someone believes regardless of whether it is how old the earth is or in God should not be exempt from debate . So as far as Jews go , their beliefs are just as debatable as any other faith

reply

I have been Christian, and I have been agnostic atheist. I have found that people who are angry or hurting make fun of others, regardless of what they do or do not believe. The best thing you can do, as a human being, is try to treat others with as much kindness, empathy, and compassion as you can, because no one knows what is truly hurting them inside.

To make a late reply to the OP, some atheists make fun of Jews for worshiping, like Christians do, a primitive Bronze age ill-tempered celestial "Patriarch" whose arbitrary, unpredictable temper causes "Him" to strike out in vengeance out of petty motives. Not to mention that atheists don't believe in this Yahweh in the first place, but they do criticise the negative impact that belief in "Him" causes. As a religion, Judaism is as much open to atheistic criticism as any other.

I have, however, virtually never come across an atheist who mocks Jews for their "looks", their social customs, and/or their "race" or ethnicity.

reply

We would make fun of Jews if they persisted with a high profile claim of moral superiority while attached to one part of the political spectrum. As it is here, Jews have a better grasp of the value of secularization.

reply

You're correct. Atheism is almost exclusively anti-Christian in nature; full of hate for Someone they insist does not exist. They're also generally a pack of cowards, unwilling to deride things like horoscopes and afraid to death of criticizing Islam.

You only have to consider their "Pope" Richard Dawkins, granting creedence to Creationism via Space Aliens, but not Creationism via the Creator, to realize their beliefs are frequently rooted in hatred and insecurity rather than the logic they claim it to be.

Agnosticism is actually the logical & sensible approach for those who do not believe. When Atheists claim huge numbers, they're including agnostics within their population.

That is erroneous: atheism is the simple denial of the existence/reality of God and gods. While it therefore rejects all forms of theism, including Christianity, it does not depend on an inherent "hatred" of such empty (according to non-belief) concepts. Nor is it even possible for an atheist to hate a God or gods who do not exist - that's a cowardly theistic canard, because atheists do not spend time hating that which they deny exists. Granted, they may hate "God" and "Christ" - not as realities, but rather as superstitious and socially impedimental socio-religious "archetypes". That is, they may hate what theists do with God and Christ, while of course believing that God and Christ are per se non-existents.

reply

Sorry, but you're in denial. It's why atheism has been legally recognized as a religious belief.

However, I won't dismiss the possibility that you're conflating "atheism" with "agnosticism", which is part of the whole snow job played with 'strong' and 'weak' atheism (or capitalization as "Atheism").

What? Atheism is nothing more than the lack of belief.

I won't dismiss the possibility that you're conflating "atheism" with "agnosticism",

One doesn't exclude the other. Theism is about knowledge, a theist believes and an atheist doesn't. Gnostism, in this context at least, is about knowledge. A gnostic atheist for example claims to know no god or gods exist; an agnostic theist thinks god or gods exist, and an agnostic atheist thinks no god or gods exist.

Try writing something that's true. The Orwellian double-speak and double-think of the Bible got your thinking all screwed up.

Better yet, you ought to try reading a bit, you angry, sad little troll.

I used correct definitions regarding atheism & agnosticism - not my fault if the truth hurts your fragile snowflake sensibilities.
