I notice the plot synopsis says they are from Philly but they are actually from Dorchester/Boston and reference it several times in the first two episodes.

I noticed in the opener the shot of the Garden and the Zakim bridge. I was wondering what was up.

Could be that the last city he played in was Philly but he's originally from Boston.
