“I’m that guy.”

Fuck yeah Amos.

reply

Yep! Amos has a soft spot for defending children. Awesome!

reply

That was predictable, but satisfying.

I don't get it through, Mei, has been infected with proto-molecule, so why isn't she glowing blue, and what will happen when she does?

reply

I was thinking about Mei and it would be so tragic if Prax ends up losing her because of the experiments done on her. We saw in the first episode there is still some proto molecule on the ship....hopefully it doesn’t finish the job on Mei.

reply

The new series is out, but I have not seen a thing about Mei in the first two episodes yet?

reply

The Dr. was interrupted before doing the injection. Mei was not infected.

reply

I think I saw her glowing blue at some point, and asking the doctor if she could do that Katoa could do, and he said yes, or soon or something like that.

reply

I saw that, too. Unless, I've failed to remember correctly, it seems all those kids have some of the protomolecule in them.

that thread either seems to be dropped or on hold for a while in favor of concentrating on the ring ... and how the hell did that whole thing develop so fast, it just popped out of Venus and then poof, it's a galactic gateway or space embolism or something?

reply

The protomolecule has been building the ring on Venus ever since Julie & Miller landed there. I don't know how long that has been, but quite awhile. The ring, itself (well, not quite the ring yet, but slowly turning into the ring), was shown launching form Venus at the end of the episode where the children were rescued. The story really picks up (in the next episode) "187 days since formation" of the ring.

"how the hell did that whole thing develop so fast, it just popped out of Venus and then poof, it's a galactic gateway or space embolism or something?"

Just saying, it wasn't all that fast.

reply

Mei was sick but Dr.Strickland had cured her with the proto-molecule. I doubt whether we should consider her being infected or not. After all, those children are only people who had contact the proto-molecule and still alive. I hope with some kind of psychic power, Mei will play a significant role in the following story.

reply

FUCK YEAH, AMOS!!!

YOU ARE THAT GUY!!!

reply

Also, it was hilarious watching Dr. Strickland's facial reaction going from Aladdin to Aladdin and then back to Aladdin. His execution was very satisfying!!!

reply

What do you mean by “Aladdin?”

watch this video please, you'll get it :D :D :D

reply

I get it now but I think you need to be on crack for the full effect.

reply

So "Aladdin, " is auto-correct for Aladeen?

reply

sorry, I just didn't know there was a difference until I posted that video link :D

reply

Really enjoying the development and humanization of the Amos character, there is something charismatic about that guy. Holden seems to be fading ... something not right, he is losing his shininess that he had in the beginning.

reply

Me too , I was a bit worried that Amus had had a conscience-ectomy after that poto-scientist explainnied he'd had it done cos Amos did a couple of "cold" things after - i thought it was going to be a big reveal later ... thankfully he seems to have gone the other way , and is BFFs with dr Prax
