What the show seems to be about

The show has smart, capable characters and stupid, incapable ones. The first group have solutions to the problem, but are resented for that and mostly end up killed. As a consequence things continue to go wrong all the time.

This kind of applies to the real world too. After a million years of evolution we still have both types.
