I think Pat being alive after all that is a major cop out.
I would have liked more if Pat had remained dead.
Thoughts?
Agree 100%. I hate hate hate the Pat chracter. Wish Betty Draper had shot this guy instead of Don Draper.

I think it would have been better for the story. I don't hate Pat but the guy took the A-Team van to the face. And the whole thing with Todd's grief and having to accept that he killed Pat would have been a much better pay off than him being alive and now everyone's scared of Pat.

This. Especially since they are hinting that Melissa is going through the same issue.
It doesn't make sense. Pat just laid there for hours and let Tandy throw him around yet HE WASN'T DEAD!? That's impossible. share
It's not impossible. It's more that it's improbable. He could have been unconscious for that long but he also would have been severely wounded. And Tandy tossing him around like a sack of leaves couldn't have helped.
And then he has enough strength to get back to his boat and sail it after taking two van tires right over him?? That's very improbable. Improbable like a FOX.
But I'm OK with all of that. It's a comedy, suspend disbelief. What I didn't like was them taking away the end of Todd's story with the group hug. The man is extremely sensitive and for him to actually kill someone, especially when there's like 8 people left, was huge for him. The scene where he couldn't stop crying and saying he couldn't deal with it was part of why I love this show. It wasn't funny. I felt for Todd. In life you have to deal with and accept things like this. I was mad that they took that away.
