Is it me or are they pretty much setting it up so everyone has killed someone except Tandy? They made it a point in the last episode for him to say that Carol and Gail both have. Obviously in the opening Melissa did and then at the end Todd potentially did too.
Even though I don't agree that Gail killed Phil2, in the traditional sense, in that way neither did Carol, but at this point only Tandy and Erica haven't killed anyone. And given Erica's checkered past maybe she did in old Australia.
I hadn't thought of that, but yeah, that's a pretty cool theory. If s.2 was largely about bringing all the other characters closer down to Tandy's level, I wonder whether this season will end up making everyone come off even worse than Tandy (in which case, considering that the show is supposed to be about how these post-apocalyptic circumstances pretty much force him to evolve -- however gradually -- into the best version of himself, it might not take so much for him to eventually rise above the others and actually earn the leadership role he had craved but not wanted to do the work for in s.1).
