Let's talk about this movie if you've seen it (spoilers, spoilers)

1. Do you think this was a hoax or legit?

2. Do you think that Elliot used his girlfriend Linda from the minute he met her, strategically manipulated her into giving him money to make his movies? Or do you think he loved her at some point?

3. Do you think Elliot told the truth about anything, except for potentially his name?

4. Where you like me slightly creeped out by him in the last 30 minutes or so?

And share random thoughts if you have any beyond the ones I asked

I'm chill. I'm chill as a cucumber, man.

1. Still unsure....I thought the whole thing was real up until Elliott's return from China when he seems to go completely off the rails.

2. If it IS real, and Elliott is in fact this sociopathic liar, then yeah, I think he manipulated her 100%. Keep in mind she said she posted her profile online and Elliott responded to her. He is the one who tracked her essentially.

3/4. Same as #2...it all depends on whether it is in fact real. My BS detector started to go off right when he told that girl to get in the skin tight leotard and that he wanted to *beep* her. To me the film seemed too ridiculous to be real but there's no reason it couldn't be. All the creepy nut jobs are people Elliott brings around. Linda seems very real compared to everything else in the film.

Elliott is a massive creep...never mind the constant attempts to portray himself as some playboy (Linda claims he regularly wants to shoot porn, he's constantly parading around in his ridiculous underwear fondling himself, hiring hookers to shoot his "kung fu" films), but he also pretty heavily implied that he was in fact the "stalker" making threatening phone calls to Linda. It's either fake or Elliott is some sort of sociopath.

Yeah I agree with all of that, I still can't decide if I think it's real or not tho...

It did seem like he changed like you said after his trip to China, could possibly have been something to do with his meeting with the Kung Fu monk who just sonned him when he showed him his martial arts moves... Perhaps the realisation that he wasn't as good as he thought he was drove him overboard

Looking back one can't help to think that the masseuse he hired was something else, yeah Elliot's a pretty darn disgusting person if he's real

I'm chill. I'm chill as a cucumber, man.
