Things are not looking good.

I hate to say it guys but I think we may not get a season 2. It is looking so grim seeing as to how they have not said a word yet and that usually means it is going to get canned. I feel really bad this had so much potential and hip-hop NEEEDS something like this. There are so many talented GLBT rappers out there who don't get recognized due to just that. Chozen could have introduced this to a lot of people and got the hip-hop community talking.

To all the people saying "oh it's not because he's gay it is just too way over the top and crude." However look at family guy. Quagmire is constantly making crude sexual jokes and treating women as objects and he gets the most laughs when he's on screen. People buy shirts with him on it. The audience that is watching FX at this hour. I remember when I went to see Bruno. I don;t think many of the kids in the theatre knew it was about a gay character. Pretty much they all left within 20 minutes, one guy even ran out, I kid you not RAN. People don't wanna see an outrageously sexual gay character, at least not now. It is getting better however. I think Chozen was ahead of it's time if it would have came out in like 8 years or so I think it would be a hit.

That being said I think it was an excellent treat for the GLBT community to have this little gem showing we still don;t give a *beep* what people think. I remember when I saw the preview for itI was so happy. Being openly gay dn been trying all my life to find work in the hip-hop community where homophobia thrives I felt like it was made just for me. I still have my Swag pack however The hat, du rag, and poster are all on display in my room.. I use the beer cozy every night to always remind me of what this show meant to me.

Well I'm not gay nor am I much of a hip hop fan but I thought this series was hilarious. I hope it gets greenlit for a 2nd season.

I definitely agree with you, Chozen isn't even close to over the top. Anyone who consider this over the top literally hasn't watched a single adult cartoon since about 1998. South Park, Seth MacFarlane, and Adult Swim barely have any episodes between them that are as mild as Chozen. Anyone who finds Chozen too extreme is obviously only put off by the fact that the jokes are about gay sex.

Anyhoo I love Chozen and very much hope it gets ruined... much better than Archer or most of what Adult Swim and Comedy Central put out in this genre. But if it does get cancelled, at least the creators did the right thing and gave the show a proper finale. I can't stand it when they try to give it a cliffhanger or an inconclusive ending and just bank on getting a renewal, who cares about the fans who might get screwed over if its cancelled, right? Gladly they didn't do it that way. Seeing Chozen beat Phantasm was awesome, and totally plucked my heartstrings.
