Anyone who has seen it have an opinion.

Is any good ? How woild you rate it.

I just watched it a bit ago. IMO, it didn't seem scary or anything like that. It was more on the strange side if anything...like somewhere out in left field. Twilight Zone episodes are better than this film...to me anyway. I, personally, didn't care much for this film at all. 

But hey...we all have different tastes so you should probably give it a shot...or at least attempt to watch it. You can always turn it off if you don't like it. 

Agreed just like a Twilight Zone episode but overly long and filmed too darkly with annoying music over conversations.

I'm not gonna watch it but i'm curious as to what the grand reveal or twist is. Especially if you and another member compare it to "The Twilight Zone." Care to spoil it for me?

thepfunkfoniks...I suffer with short term memory loss and often times will forget things within 10 or 15 minutes, especially when it's something I didn't like, so, unfortunately, I have completely forgotten anything at all about this film. Otherwise, I'd be more than happy to spoil it for you. My apologies for not being able to help you out. Perhaps someone else here will be kind enough to help spoil it for you though...I hope.

One of the great things about short term memory loss is, I can watch the same films that I loved over again, just like it was the first time, and love them all over again! And...I always make sure to leave a rating so that I'll know which one's I loved and which one's I didn't so as not to watch the bad one's again.😊

I thought it was pretty bad. One of the worst recent movies I've seen in a while, actually. Since I like campy/cheesy genre movies most, I'm pretty forgiving and will usually say it was a decent flick worth at least a single watch. I hesitate to say this was too bad to not even give a chance, but I'm leaning toward it. If you really feel the need to see as many new horror movies as possible, or nothing new is grabbing your attention, then go for it. Otherwise, I'd rate this as a 4/10 at best, and that's pretty low for me. (I'll usually given even a bad movie with some fun/funny moments a 5.)

As some others have said in the reviews, the depressing thing about this movie is that it starts out seeming to be good. It has a decent gothic atmosphere, strange, gloomy characters, and the intrigue builds as things get stranger and stranger. However, much of the dialogue and acting is quite bad, even for a fan of cheese (at least when a film tries to take itself too seriously, as was the case here). There is a somewhat interesting twist, but it falls kind of flat due to not being developed very well. I'll spoil it for thephunkfoniks and anyone else who might not want to watch. For those who don't want it spoiled, look away!

***SPOILERS BELOW***
The twist is that the protagonist is dead, and is in purgatory, atoning for his sins. He's gone through Remiel's trials over and over, but each time he fails and starts again, unaware of what has gone on before. The mysterious people he encounters are other dead sinners who are as atoning, but struggling (like him) to understand what is going on. And that, to my mind, is what makes this movie fail and the twist not work. I suppose the idea of them not realizing they're dead and in purgatory is what drives the tension and mystery, but it seems nonsensical that if they were supposed to be atoning, they would not be told about what was happening and made to do it purposefully. Also, by the end what has the protagonist learned? He's already sorry for what he did at the beginning of the movie, and he doesn't seem any more sorry by the end. Just angry and tired of Mr. Remiel's B.S.

(Fun fact, though: Remiel is the name of a "real" archangel (if you believe in such things) in some of the apocryphal biblical books (like the Book of Enoch), among one of seven Christian archangels: "'Mercy of God' or 'Lord of Souls awaiting resurrection'. Archangel Remiel brings souls to judgment. Remiel means 'God Raises Up'. Archangel Remiel is the Angel in charge of souls on their way to heaven. He is known as the Angel of Hope."

I guess I give the movie credit for doing something different and for not being completely conventional or relying on gore or T&A. Still, it's not that great.

That has to be among the lamest and vague responses ever.

Oh, excuse the hell out of us for giving our opinions, tle_mgr! Please, by all means, humour us...other than just the lamest and most vague response in response to our, supposed, lamest and vague responses ever.

People like you are so weak and have no imagination to think up creative things to say, therefore, you have to try and insult other people by what THEY say. You're pathetic!

And, to note, anything you say after this will be ignored by me because you're not worth anymore of my time. Goodbye.
