So many filler shots

The storyline of this movie was a good one. However, it could have been told in about 8 minutes including the credits. Long drawn out scenes. Too many shots of Uncle John driving and driving and driving. Other shots of just things that have nothing to do with the story (fillers). It could have been so much better. I am not a writer or filmmaker. I'm a film viewer so I can't imagine how much work is involved in making a film but can the film makers watch a movie of their own creation like us film viewers can? Apparently not. This is my take on Uncle John. No arguments intended.
