It's a good thing NBC will keep A to Z & Bad Judge through November...

Unaware they're both cancelled and will continue its initial 13 episode run. However, some networks have already canceled their shows on the spot after their last week's show-Like Utopia, for example. Started off showing twice a week, then it was exclusively shown on Fridays until Last Friday-Where it got itself the boot from FOX. Also, online viewing for Utopia-has also been discontinued at the same time. NBC was so very lucky it didn't pull itself that embarassing cancellation move.

Wait so they are airing all the episodes?

They're on the Letter F-Which may stand for Failure, And since M is the 13th letter, and with a great show in jeopardy-That letter M-will stand for Might as well be gone after the last, final show...

They are airing the remaining episodes that were ordered (there were 13 all together). This is actually a better deal than most shows get when they are canceled. For instance, Manhattan Love Story on ABC was straight up canceled, replaced with something else and its non-aired episodes were shelved never to be seen. Part of me hopes there is a slight surge in viewership or maybe they have second thoughts about its future.

I'm glad they're letting this show play through even though it's canceled. Gives the viewers some closure. I would hate it off they just leave us hanging like so many other canceled shows

reply

What makes you think that won't happen. The episodes are probably already made and therefore there won't be closure.

A to Z still has about three more episodes to film, so it remains to be be seen what they will do.

Wow. That's interesting that they still have 3 of the 13 episodes to the film. Like I said above, when most shows get cancelled they just straight up shut down production and everything else. Not sure if this just means that NBC is kinder to its shows or if there is room for a change of heart. I know when I was watching Marry Me last night they ran a commercial for Bad Judge, which again is peculiar to spend ad time on a show that has been cancelled.

Well, they already paid for them so they might as well make them. I assume that even with the low ratings that the cost to make the show is less than what it makes from advertising. With that being said, I'm pretty sure they aren't going to have time to wrap up anything because NBC isn't going to want to wait on them to rewrite the scripts in order to do that. They'll say "Shoot the scripts you have, no rewrites"

reply

Because they still got 3 episodes left to film. So there will be an ending giving us closure.

I am rather sad the show is cancelled.
