Of HIMYM. The even hired the mother from HIMYM. What a bunch of hacks...can't even come up there own idea.

More like 500 days of Summer...

Eh, lets say HIMYM meets 500 days of Summer. Idk JGL's character Tom would do something like the main male character did in terms of finding pictures of a concert. However, that definitely sounds like something Ted would do. The main character here reminds me a lot of Ted with the whole thing about destiny and dramatic gestures and having a really creepy friend who is similar to, but not as good as Neil Patrick Harris, so I can see the connection.

I feel it's at least riding on its succes. The actress was hyped by all the mystery around her in HIMYM and that's used to pull in viewers. I would have prefered if they went with an unknown actress, or maybe an actual famous one.
The guy is almost a complete copy of his character in Drop Dead Diva.

I meant an actress that is famous for her acting in a show or movie, not an actress that is famous because she did not appear until the very last episode(s) of a show with all the added mystery and hype.

It doesn't change anything about the quality of the show, that's a weird and arbitrary criticism.

I'm sure that she was hired because of HIMYM. In an otherwise mediocre to bad season, she was the one shining light.

It's nothing like HIMYM. They didn't even show the mother until the last season. In this, they meet within 3 minutes.

The only reason they hired her was because of HIMYM? She's a Tony nominated actress, people.

I agree with the OP! such a HIMYM rip off, they reallythought they had a great idea to leech off the fan base.

-only uneducated minds are not open to any ideas other than their own.
