I came here to see when the 2nd season is starting, and I was shocked to see that HBO cancelled this?? I'm sorry, but that makes no sense. Just what is waiting to take its place? I thought the show was brilliant. With an all star cast like that, I'm shocked that it could get cancelled. I guess maybe they were just too expensive?

I'm not sure why that would be an issue. If a network/show were worried about offending a country, a lot of shows wouldn't get made. I imagine Homeland is more offensive to numerous countries.
shareGood point you're probably right. I read The Brink was getting Veep and Girls type ratings but not as high as Ballers(yuck). The article said the decision may have came down to the fact that The Brink didn't inspire gifs and devoted followers(and awards) like their other comedies.
I will admit that The Brink was sometimes a little too silly, even for me. Maybe uneven is a better word. It definitely had potential, I think Jack Black and Tim Robbins were the standouts and the rest were just okay.
Finally, I'll say I did agree with HBO when they cancelled the 2nd season of Luck but not because the horses were getting hurt but because there was just way too much going on in that show it was all over the place!

I literally just did the same thing!! The fact that this show is canceled leaves me no hope for t.v. It was absolutely brilliant ,both writing and cast. Really hoping another network picks it up or HBO changes their minds :/

As for me, I found the humor to be pretty low-brow, but I wanted to like the show. I saw six episodes before giving up.
It was cancelled because it was pure crap.
