had no idea this was a comedy, but was wondering why they were playing it "fast and loose" -- it didn't make sense.

it still doesn't make sense, unless the writing team and actors from VEEP are standing in the wings to take over.

in this type of setting, VEEP would be UNSTOPPABLE.

not really, it was very clear since the beginning that it's a comedy, but obviously your first language isn't english.
