Did you notice the similarity between Milt and the Lance White character (played by a young Tom Selleck) on Rockford Files? Rockford was mentioned and even a nod was given to Selleck. Very clever. I think this will fly. The characters will grow on me for sure.

That's the first thing I thought of - Rockford and Lance. They did it better though.

I thought it was a pretty good first show and I'd like to see that contrast between realism and idealism explored more but with subtlety in the future.
