Fox should pick up this show

Battle Creek never felt like a CBS show, that is, it isn't just standard fair, same old plots, everything completely obvious.

It has much more of a Fox feel to it. It is nuanced, subtle, and witty. Besides, Fox has had good luck with the people who produce this show.

Given a chance, and a decent time slot, I think Battle Creek could do very well. I don't imagine it will ever happen, but has been nice watching a show that doesn't feel like every other show on network TV.

I agree, Fox or USA should have this show. It doesn't feel like standard network fare.

I wish someone would pick it up. It's a great show. That and Forever!

Forever was a great show. I cannot believe that people didnt watch it or that it was cancelled.

It was my favorite new show of the season.

Funny you guys bring up Forever. Forever and Battle Creek are the only two shows of the new season that I watch, and both have been cancelled.

Whoever brought up the USA Network idea is right. Both of these shows would be a good fit for the sorts of programs it has shown in recent years.

Same here. Except I also watched Secret & Lies. I'm bummed.

lol there were 5 new shows I think I started watching this season and all but 2 were cancelled. Forever and Battle Creek being 2 of the 3 that were (stalker was the other) BC definitely seems like a show that should be on Fox, USA or even TNT. I'm so mad it's cancelled! Ugh! Stupid rating system

Agreed. I watched both and they have become the latest victims of the instant gratification ratings game.

It never stood a chance in the time slot it was given. 10 pm on Sundays became 11 pm when sports were on. With it's starting time different every week it made it hard to watch. If CBS had any balls they would have tried it out at a different time and day and see if the ratings improved. CBS never committed to the show.

HOWEVER.....am glad they played every episode. Many networks cancel shows and never air the remaining ones.

Not really sure what you talking about, not once during the 13 episodes did it not start on time, it aired at 9pm my time everytime .

In my area the show was delayed a half hour or so at least twice due to games running long.

Oh and I too wish another network would pick up the show, though I did enjoy the ambiguity of the finale.

I watched the show next day on TWC on Demand because it almost always ran late on Sunday night. and I always felt this show was more of a FOX type Show more than a CBS show too.

Such a shame, this show is getting cancelled, it had really started to find it's groove over the last few episodes. FOX would be the worse one to pick it up, they have a dismal record of cancelling promising shows. I's rather see USA, TNT, FX, AMC etc. pick this up.

Fox would also not be my top choice.
Hulu or Netflix would be good.

Do agree it fits Fox's personality...the last night it was on, actually tuned to Fox first to find it and had to look up where it was actually on. USA - yes, with their "characters" theme fits too

i downloaded all the episodes, watched them all... and assumed it was a fox show until i came on this board right now

If this show had came say -mid 80's to early 90's I would have said this is a CBS show.(they had a lot of quirky shows then.) early 80's or mid 70's would have fit with NBC I think. but it had a definite FOX feel now.
