Egad, what kind of standards do you people have? I know the idea of someone forgiving someone for having *beep* your daughter's boyfriend" (that was a funny moment) might be kind of hard to take, but otherwise I thought it held together more surprisingly well than I had expected from the first 20 minutes. I felt it was a pleasant, "doable" film as a reviewer said and probably would give it at least a 7 as a sleeper not in that it made a lot of money, but it kind of sticks with me. For me the only inexplicable part was at the end when Harry suddenly left bowling to try to talk to his lady love again. I didn't quite get the motivation for that ... it almost seemed as if it was her turn to go to him after her mother's talk with her. Maybe Harry had a psychic connection to her. Can't say my rating will always stay the change, my ratings do fluctuate. But, generally, I thought it was well made and I'll probably remember it a lot longer than many of the somewhat forgettable rom coms I've seen lately.
