I Enjoyed It

If you didn't, that's your right. But I enjoyed it. Brought back a lot of memories. I am in the generation that had Pong when it first came out in the mid 70's. We played that game for hours, so long that the numbers and the mid line ended up getting burned into the TV screen permanently. Then we got this: http://www.davesclassicarcade.com/consoles/tsarcade.jpg Triangle cartridge with a race car game, gun fighter game, and Pong. Played that for hours on end as well. Never did get an Atari but my step sister's boyfriend got an Intellivision and kept it at our house. I also spent a ton of money in arcades playing Dragon's Lair, Tron, and the like. Gaming is fun and a release. At 49 I still play.

I enjoyed it too. I'm more of a 90s kid generation, but it still brought back a lot of great memories for me.

To me, Donkey Kong Country and Mario Bros are my top childhood video games of all time. Lots of great titles came after that but those two are by far the ones that bring the best of memories, to me.

I did some video game history research through wikipedia and youtube, which offered a lot more information as to how these game consoles came to be. Some interesting behind the scenes facts such as why PlayStation became Nintendo's rival, when initially it was going to be a Nintendo console. Also the ups and downs of many video games and consoles such as Dreamcast.

But over, this long documentary was still fun to watch. It offered a different view of the subject. Not bad for a free Netflix documentary on a boring Sunday afternoon.

Yeah I enjoyed it too especially those gnarly commercials, the ET history, the game oversaturation before Nintendo were my favorite parts.
