My wife and I watched this last night, not a bad movie but we were so distracted by how pasty Travolta looked and his horrible wig. Travolta's acting also seemed wooden and I did not buy him as the tough guy. Meloni's scenes were the highlight. His fight scenes seemed well choreographed and Meloni pulled off the slightly crazy but a guy you don't mess with.
shareThe movie's fine with me as it is but I think it coulda worked just as well with him in the lead. John does the sad scenes well and looks decent in the action stuff, he doesn't look fully stuntman'ed like say Roger Moore did when he did his last Bond movie (you can tell when it's a stuntman easy.) But I see the sidekick role being more for him honestly.. he coulda hammed it up a little and had more fun.
Chris is serious enough to nail the dramatic scenes but once the action would hit he would do exceptionally well imo. Chris I think has potential to be a solid action actor if he ever wanted to be one this movie shows it. Plus it looks more natural that John would be his mentior not the other way around.
