You are right, the difference between the outside and the inside just struck me as odd
shareI know what you mean, but the interiors are decorated by the people who live there. Mrs. Silver's flat was all bright and frilly and flowery and very much like the clothing she wore. Mr. Hoppy's was dull and drab and very beige like his clothing. So even though the exterior was modern, the interiors were decorated just like their tenants.
(I love spoilers so go ahead and tell me everything.)
No way would I buy a unit in these fake flats.
