Roald Dahl

Looks like another Roald Dahl adaptation. Good news!

Yeah, and this one is actually grounded enough to work as a legitimate and funny film too!

I just saw a clip on Graham Norton, it is on my list of must see movies for next year. Hoffman and Dench have great chemistry in real life, the screen should be even more fun!!

I'm very excited for this! Besides Fantastic Mr. Fox and Danny Champion of the World, it has to be my favourite Roald Dahl book. ^_^ I've always wanted to see it on screen, and even though it doesn't exactly "look" how I imagined it to be (well, judging from the trailer anyways), I'm still looking forward to it. Very happy bunny here! <3

I watched this today, what an charming tale. Dustin Hoffman was superb, playing opposite equally brilliantly talented Judi Dench. With a very strong supporting cast, this made for perfect early evening New years day viewing.

This was amazing! I thought Hoffman was brilliant because the role was different to his previous work and he had great chemistry with Dench. Dench, who is an accomplished actress, was as good as ever. I'd describe this TV movie as quirky, but that's the best kind.

reply

It was a beguiling film but I felt the slight tale was stretched out because of the acting talent.

Its that man again!!
