Average film, incredible ending

The ending was absolutely brutal and really *beep* my preconceptions.

Rose wasn't this damsel in distress waiting for a hero that Jay imagined her to be, not some object to be desired and saved;she was an extremely capable person who has been living her own life outside of Jay's memories, hopes and dreams.

And for Jay to literally have his heart broken by her while doing something very silly was extremely appropriate. Silas ending up with her elevated the whole thing to black comedy for me, which is in no way a bad thing.

Goddamn though, it's gonna take me a while to stop thinking about this one.
