How did the kid Jay know where to find Rose?

That is all.

Gandalf told him.

He didn't, he ran into it, and his heart told him that was it, he dreamed it.

reply

Yah that was something. At first I thought maybe she wrote him a letter saying hiyah, but she obviously didn't care for him at all.

Apparently all roads out West led to Rose's house.

LOL!

His hard-on pointed west.

I assumed she must have mentioned something to him at some point in time about the States. But I really like the Gandalf/Hard-on explanations on this thread way better.

It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!

Kid from Scotland comes to America and some how divines where two (2) Scots may have ended up. No substantive explanation other than a dream sequence.

AND somehow all the bounty hunters know Jay knows how to find them. What could Jay have ever said in any place that would attract the attention of a dozen outlaw bounty hunters to say we should follow this twit, whom is not likely to have advertised his quest to any thugs.

Not only do they follow him, but they scheme to do it. Payne asks Silas why he is doing it and does not just rejoin the gang.

Then Rose basically says he was a fool since she did not have feelings for him. In Scotland she even said you are like the little brother I never had. So it is highly unlikely she wrote to him in Scotland explaining where in God's country she might be -- In America on the other side of "the place of Spirit Trees."

Plus it seemed that Rose may have had feelings for the American native (Indian)when he kisses her and she says till civilization arrives - as if that will resolve their type of relationship problem.

One minor other point that would be nice to have clarified - Reran the flashbacks and still must have missed how Jay was marked by the scar on his right hand allowing Rose to finally recognize him without any further confirmation. Any response explaining this would be appreciated.

Scenery and shoot outs were good, but it is a slim movie plot.

It really takes a "special" kind to ask things like this.
