Why this movie was so highly praised? I am a huge Fassbender fan and I can appreciate a good western. But this movie was so boring to me. And there were rare occurrences where the scenery and camera work made up for it. I'm not trying to start an argument. I just want other peoples honest opinions.
shareI have no idea either. Sure, it was nicely shot and Fassbender was great as usual, but the plot and the characters were as thin as paper. It almost felt like they were trying too hard.
"Bone Tomahawk" is much better when it comes to modern western. Actually, it's tremendous.
I am a HUGE Kurt Russell fan. Bone Tomahawk was absolutely tremendous. I loved every second of it. The best part is, I had very low expectations which made it that much better. Compared to my high expectations of Slow West...
Same story here. "Bone Tomahawk" has this existential, absurdist, Beckett-like touch to it, which makes it something more than western/horror flick. While "Slow West" seems like a misfire. I was electrified by the former and bored by the latter.
