That teacher didn't have a life.

A student who made good grades jumped 400 points from an already decent score, and yet the teacher was making a gigantic deal out of it to the point she called the girl's mother. If she did study with her mom, then what would the teacher have used that information for in a useful manner regarding education? Simply, she wouldn't have - she just wanted to prove herself to be right and nothing more. The pathetic amount of attention she paid to that specifically was really annoying to me.

The teacher did the right thing! She suspected foul play and it turned out she was exactly right. If a few of the others had supported her, not least the school principal, Meredith might not have died. (I hope that principal got his come-uppance, too. He was only interested in keeping the school's good name.)
