The worst thing a director could do...

to a film that's already considered low-budget and somewhat amateurish is to give the demon a personality. For crying out loud, what was the point? When this demon started spouting off bad "that's what she said" jokes, the film was doomed from that point on. Smart-ass, joke-telling demons are LAUGHABLE, they aren't scary! This director obviously doesn't believe in Ridley Scott's "less is more" concept. Just imagine if the xenomorph in Alien (1979) started chuckling when he saw Capt. Dallas in the air vent and then said, "I'm gonna have loads of fun with you tonight... hee hee ha ha!"

Geez Louise.

Imagine being scared by a slasher flick.

I mean come on the name of the demon is Knucklebones.

Very true moose if the OP was genuinely scared then this is pretty pathetic. Also the example comparing this to alien is idiotic since that was a sci-fi atmospheric horror film and this is more a cheesy slasher. I'm gonna have to assume the OP also truly hates the nightmare on elm street franchise too.

I thought the SAME exact thing! The story was already a little weak and convoluted...why destroy it further by making it corny and giving the demon a funny personality? Would have had much more effect if the demon had been silent...and not so clearly viewable as well.

If there is a Muslim ban, they can pretend they're Christians. You know, like Republicans do.
