Two errors they made

One how would they have all those shoes at the end? Don't they repair the shoes and return them? Or do they keep them and give them identical ones back? I don't see how they could have kept them with the exception of occasionally saying the shoes got ruined and promising some compensation or something.

Two if all those shoes are for Adam Sandler to wear to look like people from his dad's time and his dad before him, wouldn't they all look like a bunch of bones since they've all been dead for so long? When he put on the shoes of the corpse or the mean black dude after he died, he was showing as if he were a zombie so wouldn't it be even worse for the shoes of his dad and his dad and so on?

1)He said that he had people whom he had let in on the secret that allowed him to use their shoes to do good in the world(one of which is Derek Jeter apparently lol).
2)Actually, Abraham(Hoffman) only said that his dad's(Max's grandfather) shoes worked for him which means that Abe's shoes should work for Max not that the shoes in the special room included the grandfather's. Apparently, Abraham was still doing his thing being a shoe-powered superhero of sorts and was getting too old to do it himself and was finally handing the job off to Max. This means that, when Abe took over from his father, he used the collection his father had amassed until he built up his own group of helpers and could use their shoes instead(as mentioned in #1).

Anyway, I just finished watching this(sweet little film that straddles being a comedy and drama pretty well btw much like "Click" did) and that's what I took out of the ending scenes. :)

The laddie reckons himself a poet!

I can tell you from experience, (I owned a shoe repair shop for many, many years) that we had racks and racks full of shoes left behind by customers. And even though I'd call them regularly to come get their stuff, they still would leave them behind!!
The part where he tried on the dead guys shoes had me cracking up since we literally had pairs sitting around the shop for so many years we were sure they had long since passed on.
