Similarities to another movie

I thought I'd find out after watching this movie that the director would be the same one that did "The Caller", but nope.

Both movies take place in Puerto Rico.

Both movies star Rachelle Lefevre.

Both movis have Luis Guzman in a co-starring role.

In both movies, Rachelle gets burned/scarred.

I'm pretty sure there was one more similarity as well, besides these. I just didn't write them all down.
