Should I watch the first one before watching this?

Apart from one actor being playing in both of them there is literally zero connection between the two of them and SPL 1 is pretty mediocre. If you are a fan of Sammo Ho watch it, else you can skip it with clear conscience. It won't impact your experience with SPL 2 whatsoever.
