That Prison Riot Scene
Was amazing. This film's quality is on par with the Raid films. I expect in the next few years it'll develop a strong following. More people need to know about it for sure.
shareI'll also say everything in this film is good save one thing really; the coincidences lol. There's too many of them to be believable. Still, the action, stunts, cinematography, characters, acting, and most of the story are really strong.
The only other criticism I can think of is that there's too much story, ie they made it too intricate a plot.
It's rare when a movie's criticism is that the plot is too intricate... especially for a martial arts film. It's definitely not as refined in pace or in delivery as some of South Korea's best (viz., Yellow Sea and The Man From Nowhere FTW!) but I did like this film a lot. It's sad about what happened to Wu Jing and his career as a martial artists potentially being done with, but this is a great movie to have on his resume if it is his swan song.
